I agree if you go with a turbo that big lag will be a issue..but lag is over rated, just down shift..:) what are you aiming for? 6-700hp?

Sometimes you can take off the downpipe to see if oil is leaking...youll know when the blades are sort of wet...

what are your goals?

If you have to ask a question that brod, then this swap isn't for you...You can put any engine in any car..will it be easy prolly not....I would first start with messurements of the rb26(motor mounts, trans mount) then compare it with the mkIII chassy..

Well if that the case then the ebay ones should work...

The flange thats on the oil pan..im going single..so i have to get rid of the y pipe oil drain....Theres some on ebay for cheap, just not sure if those will work on the 1jz oil pan...

Does the 1jz use a stanard oil drain flange..it looks to be a little longer im just not sure...

My engine avrrived missing a few parts...:) for starters map sensor, igniter, driveshaft yoke, broken tps housing...seller did help me out though, and we came to a agrement, lucky me....other wise engine looks pretty clean...well see how it runs in a month or so.....

I have the exhaust mani in pic2... very soild peice, good welds, and heavy..about 15-20lbs...lol

I thought about doing a s13, but that car has been done to death...a bmw would be cool...But if you really want to killem in the street a first gen celica(70-77) would be awesome with a 1jz.. i always wanted to do something with a first gen..maybe that will be next!!:naughty:

Set the motor in for good today... Mods: 1jzgte 62-1 3in exhaust 31X12X3 intercooler... Hoping for 400whp Should be good enough for high 11's low 12's well see!!!

What happens when big name brands fail?? cause it happens.....My rule of thumbs is if you buy something off ebay(cheap turbos ,manifold) then you can't treat it like the name brand stuff cause your paying a fraction of the cost..for example..i bought a EVO3 knockoff turbo for my 4g63T mightymax...

430's seems like a lot...but i guess if you are heavy than it helps..you guys must be turning 4 grands going 60mph with 430's..

lot of times it's just the lifters are starved for oil..a tic is usually lifters...you will know if you have rod knock.... good luck:icon_bigg
