make sure the car is level, take out the side filler plug, take out your shifter assembly from inside, and pour your oil in there until it starts to dribble out the side fill hole, then put ti all back together

I dont understand the theory about warm up idleing is diluting your oil. At idle its enriching the mixture, but it is when you are driving too. When you drive you are putting more load and more fuel than at idle and the cold pistons and rings that aren't sealing as well are dumping tons of fuel...

I would disagree, i think the Stone gasket set exceeds the felpro. Its more affordable and comes with WHAT YOU NEED, and in good quality. Felpro throws in a bunch of random gaskets that you will never be able to find a place for.

Get a block tester kit from napa and test for combustion gases in your coolant. Test your cap before just replacing it.

Just because the deck is flat doesn't mean its fine. These old engines witht he stock head gaskets leave indentations in the block deck that are hardly visible unless you look extremely close. It just happens there's nothing you can do besides machining to get the deck how it needs to be. Also...

Ive been waiting for a reply for approximately 100 days now but i think its too far gone for anyone to see it, so im trying to bump it back. Every cat i cant get measurements for is approximately 11.5 inches long, which mine is also, i cant find any evidence that some cars had a shorter cat.
