you can remove boost sensor, crusie control is really easy to take out just start taking it out.... you can remove ABS (personally it would be the hardest in my opinion), relocate battery (not that easy, you would HAVE to do it right), take out A/C to get rid of those lines (again not that easy...
yeah usually a getrag will cost as much as a 2jz hehe. then there is the whole making it physically fit into your car (you gotta do quite a bit of body work to my understanding, it wont physically fit in, same with the non turbo mkiv's)
so for about the same price as fitting a getrag in you...
yeah i love subarus hehe its my next dd. im afraid with a celica i'd be too temped to go gt-four (it would be sweet) and the sc300 i just dont like the design from the doors back and the interior is cramped all around.. i'd take a gs300 over it as a dd (easier to swap as a gte as well hehe)
