anyone seen the intake routed like this?

Heat rises and bends slow flow... Also, I'd have to see the rest of the car to say if it's worth the price. With how much we all can see wrong, it's just like rust on a car, what you see is always the tip of the iceberg...

question about value of a original supra bra.

Yes, left on dirt can still get under then causing damage. If you use it occasionally (like long roadtrips or certian times of year when you get crazy amounts of bugs) you'll be fine.

anyone seen the intake routed like this?

    - intake pipes sitting on oil cap - intake pipes close to alternator pulley - intake pipes close to battery terminal - numerous missing/wrong clamps - dodgy wiring - heater hoses aren't where they should be, not sure what's going on there

A lot of dodgy stuff in that pic...

question about value of a original supra bra.

It's also usefull for long roadtrips instead of the blue masking tape I've seen other people use.

Snow plus Supra equals a very slow drive home

I've driven mine on summer tires here, the LSD helps a hell of a lot. Don't like driving in it here though as there are far too many idiots on the road. Oh, and we get ice storms here, fuck that lol

Am I the only one who thinks that electric fans are a downgrade?

 that guy's face is classic And Aaron is more than likely venting because he has customers come in with hack job e-fans all the time...

    wiring harness question

I know the main wire to the alt isn't on the wiring harness, but I'm unsure if the other plug is. I want to say no because I think it's loomed with the main wire but I could be wrong.

Oil Coolerless with Use of High Grade Synthetic Oil.

Oil cooler is designed like the intercooler, which was one of the best ones every factory installed up unit recently. The main faults I see with the factory cooler is lowering pressures and if the oil temps get really high it will cause a drop in viscosity and pressure with the potential to...

    R154 hard shifting

Even a brand new tranny will have issues with reverse. It's even covered in the owner's manual. It's simple, push the clutch in, wait 3 seconds, try reverse. If it doesn't go in, go back to neutral and then try the process again. You're simply waiting for the gear pack to stop spinning.

    Should I sell or not??

Honestly, it's a tough call as you need the money but don't want to take such a loss. Depends a lot on what other modes of transportation you have (as now that the engine is rebuilt, it SHOULD be reliable), etc. Looking at pics it doesn't look THAT bad, the missing molding makes it look worse...

Am I the only one who thinks that electric fans are a downgrade?

Just offsets the load to the alternator. Also, if the fan clutch is working correctly it's not causing as much drag as you'd think. I don't see them as an upgrade or downgrade, they're pointless in 99% of the installs I've seen (stock motor). A properly installed e-fan setup is more...

Should I trade my Supra for a Ford Taurus as a new DD?

I see you already decided not to get the Taurus, good call considering he's completely wrong on the milage they get  On the Ge Metro front, there are a number of things with them. - Disable the daytime running lights and rewire the headlights with relays. It's a switched ground...

    R154 hard shifting

Syncromesh is FAR too thin for an R154. Don't use it. Most GL5 gear oils have friction modifiers for use in clutch based limited slip differentials. This friction modifier hinders the function of the syncros. Red Line MT-90 is specificly made for older style transmissions like our own...

    Integration Relay #2 pic?

Just take the lower cover off the dash under the column and reach under there and slide it off it's bracket (it's clipped on, no bolts required). It hangs down pretty low once unclipped so working the connector isn't hard. And that pic I think I set the camera on the floor and pointed in the...

    A70 Torsen Axle Stubs

I don't know about our cars, but I know on other cars with torsens they don't have the cross pin that the spider gears rotate on so it allows the axle to go in farther. That would at least explain having to shorten them to put the clutch type in a torsen car, other than that I can't really say.

    Tire information and decision.

Stretch is going to depend on brand quite a bit, for instance BFGoodrich tends to have a sidewall that bulges out a bit compared to say kumho's that tend to be more straight. It's going to be hit or miss when you're that close. Kumho SPT's are a dry/wet tire, but not ideal for snow, which is...
