Also, I don't really like this Greddy type S the kit came with. The exhaust is so low and rumbly now and the type S is a high pitched and sounds almost like a bird call or something.
I think I'm going to go back to the Blitz SS I used before. I liked that best.
^haha.
I fixed a coolant leak this morning before going to work and now have had a chance to drive it a bit more.
This setup is going to be fun with more boost. It's making about .7-.8 bar around 3500 give or take a few hundred rpm. I'm hoping to be able to turn it up around 1bar when I...
I wasn't looking down much to be honest. I was watching the road and the cars in front of me coming up kinda fast. I'll check it and see exactly where I'm making boost today. It's still pretty early though.
Yeah, man. I wasn't expecting the change in tone and volume it to be so drastic though. I really like that it's so much quieter cruising and partial throttle. I can't even hear the exhaust on the freeway.
Stock twins ftl. What was I thinking before. I have seen the light, and it is...
I got my DP extended today. Wow, the car is so much quieter. I started the car and thought I had a stock exhaust on. Also, the tone changed drastically. It's not as much of a high pitched scream anymore. It sounds a lot closer to a single turbo 2J. Really low rumble.
The power is VERY...
Well, you're crazy. :P:biglaugh:
I wouldn't trust my electrical or soldering skills enough to bet my main engine harness on it. I need my car to start and run correctly everytime. I don't have the time to experiment and learn on my own car and have it down the whole time while doing so...
I'd say just rebuild it then with an MHG and take care of other parts and hoses that normally wear out after 20 years and you'll be fine.
My concern earlier was because it seemed like you wanted to dump a considerable amount of money just to stay NA and I know the result wouldn't be...
You're not answering anything either, so why complain? :stickpoke
Anyway, alot of people run their NA-T engines (7M and 2J) with GE non oil squirter blocks and do just fine.
You're building a single turbo 2J and you want to have an NA 7m build on the side?
You're going to be extremely dissatisfied with the car no matter what you do to the NA. It's not going to be nearly as fast as your 2J and probably wouldn't even be able to touch a mildly modded 7MGTE.
I...
