A few more pics. Taking a break for lunch. Haven't eaten since lunch yesterday.
I need to tighten up some manifold nuts, downpipe and wastegate bolts, do the oil return hose, install the mid/y-pipe, do intercooler stuff, and I'll be close to done.
Yeah it's still a bit dirty. But I figure while I'm working in there it's going to get dirty with oil and coolant etc anyway so I'll do more cleanup when it's closser to being done.
Day 1 Progress:
Ok, so here's what I got accomplished last night.
No more stock twins! Lucky for me they came off without much of a fight which is a relief. The nuts holding the stock manifolds to the head also didn't give me much trouble which was an even bigger relief. I was afraid they...
I have one. It's a trust drop in replacement. Uses stock pipes if you wish. Sure, this is for a JZA70 but there are drop in ICs for the 7M too.
Just because you're a failure at finding information doesn't mean the rest of us have to dumb ourselves down for you.
Thanks for playing...
Lower redline in the 3L is due to increased piston speed from the 86mm stroke as opposed to 71.5 in the 2.5L. But the redline isn't even that much lower.
Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...
I have a Greddy Type S BOV with my newly acquired Blitz K26 TT kit.
The valve has two nipples. Which one is supposed to be used for the vacuum source and what is the purpose of the other nipple?
I did a quick search but couldn't turn up an exact answer.
edit: I'm assuming the top...
I have the kit. It looks good. Tomorrow I'll be busy ripping off the stock twins and installing the Blitz twins. Install should go pretty quick it seems. Everything's already assembled. Each turbo already has it's manifold, WG, and downpipe bolted up. Just have to bolt it to the engine...
I read what you wrote but it's a stupid reason to attempt this.
Unique and custom? That's a cop out reason many use to do some really dumb mods to their cars.
I could run 6 tiny turbos on my car to be 'unique and custom' but does that make it a good or efficient idea?:icon_conf
Read it again. If you are using a stock IC and seeing 6psi at the manifold, 3psi drop means your turbo is working harder making 9psi just so you can see 6psi at the manifold.
You think using 2 stock intercoolers is better than using a single more efficient aftermarket intercooler?
Why would you use 2 stock ICs other than to save money?
"Mr. Bryant said cars built for street racing are as dangerous as explosives and can cause catastrophic damage."
How is a modded car anymore dangerous than a stock one as far as potential to cause damage? Maybe they should worry about seizing and crushing old or defective cars that leak...
