Hmm. Sounds easy enough. I think I have a couple extra steel 3" vband flanges laying around too.
On a side note, looks like I'll be picking up aem v2 30-6050 with adapter harness and a 7m base tune!
That's what I like about the new header I got. The wastegate flange is actually in the right spot and rotated correctly. I ordered a gillet turbo exhaust housing for the hx35. Its a divided 12cm (.89) ar non wastegated housing with a short 3" vband outlet. Should give me even more room for a...
I heard somewhere thats driftmotion orders the China one and ports/cleans them up. At least that's what I've heard.
Either way for under 300 that's not a bad deal. I may add some reinforcement and header wrap it
Power steering resivor showed up. Going to run -6 and -10 black nylon braided line with russel fittings. New build is coming along nicely just need to find time to get everything installed!
Wastegate disassembly, clean/lube annd reassembly
With the old setup I had to hammer the firewall in about an inch or so. With the new shell it has extra lines for abs so I can't really do that now. The flanges will need surfaced since they are a little out
New header showed up from the mail man today. Looks much better than the old one and sits the turbo between runners 3-4 and not 4-5. Lots of room for a downpipe now!
Started working on the cluster. I'm thinking I'll have aem oil pressure and tru boost in the cluster itself, then the aem wideband right on the steering column.
Want to look less like I have a turbo with the 3 pod pillar. A lot of my friends couldn't tell I was boosted except for the pillar...
Pulled the engine out today. I may need to purchase a new header that sits the turbo forward more
Since I have more brake lines with abs I think my downpipe will hit. Anyone have any input on a t4 or t3 header that sits the turbo between cylinders 3 and 4?
Harness looks to be in way better...
Just picked up a red supra a couple weeks ago. Super clean, almost perfect gray leather interior and mostly stock.
Going to swap the motor out of my white supra into the red one this winter
