5-6k can build a 7m, upgrade the oil supply at the bottom (check out ARZ's stuff) then next year you can do a turbo etc etc. but honestly swapping engines never cures problems, my 7m was running fine when i decided to go 2jz but if you want a daily driver i suggest a civic or corolla or...
