both together new from champion toyota is 299.91
138.81 for intake valve cover
161.10 for exhaust valve cover
then you could get the center piece off ebay used...
run a fuel line from the hardline down to the hole on the frame rail... which the charcoal canister vented to.... I ran this way on my black supra for over a year without any issues...
Grant(oneandgone) ruined his paint by having a vented gas cap.... messed up his molding and part of his...
replace the gear oil.. it holds 3.2 quarts...
thats more than likely your problem.... and I wouldnt drive the car until I changed it... it takes about 30 min to do a drain and refill....
from my experience... I went by the tsrm all the way except for the head torque specs..... Every thing came out great...
edit: Make sure to use assembly lube when putting in main and rod bearings you cannot use too much.... helps with initial start up...
glad to hear it wasnt a rod knock....
and when you did the boost leak test did you undo your pcv on the throttle body and put a cap there if not that would be why air got into your crankcase.....
myself I like a very nice car that is fast... nothing wrong with having both in one car.... I agree with what was said earlier alot of reasons people underestimate the mkiii is because about 75% of them on the road look like crap... and run like crap...
id be down for that but unfortunately im not the one with the painting skills he is.... im the one with all the mechanical know how..... man I havent had a beer in a while thats got me thinking....
Edit.. have you still not found a set of 2jzgte valve covers and center valley cover..
no one has driven my current supra.... and there are only a few that I would let.... if they wanted to and thats with me in the car......
I only let 3 close friends and my wife drive my black supra.... and one of them has two mkiii turbo supras himself...
right now youve got more mods than pokey had so you should be at more than 225rwhp if you have a healthy engine....
install
a 3" down pipe
a boost controller
some sort of cold air intake filter K&N and apexi flow the best from the test out there
then turn the boost up to 12 psi and youll...
your 100% correct....
if your friends dont believe you let them see some of the vids of the mkiii supra and what it is capable of... there are plenty of vids of mkiii's out there go into the vids section and let them see the vid of the pinks supra that won.. and the orange supra(tony's)...
and to answer your last question.. I had a guy here when I had my black turbo supra that ran his mouth about his built chevy truck and said no way a 6 cyl could beat his v8 well long story short I walked him bad every since hes had respect for supras and told anyone that doubts them around him...
actually pokey on here went to chi 2k4 with his turbo supra and put down 225 rwhp on the dyno... he had stock exhaust, boosting about 8psi with apexi power intake... basically he was bone stock with about 1-2psi extra...... so there you go....
