mkiv pump, walbros are alright but they dont have the best reputation for reliability over time.. I didnt have the money at the time to buy a $350 denso pump though haha. Generally I always try to get the best regardless but not this time.

my motor was originally automatic and I converted it to manual before swapping it in.. anyhow, theres this opening (I think there's more than one but for now just this one) at the front of where the bell mounts to the motor on the bottom side and I'm sure there's supposed to be a dust cover...

You can get them free easily.. just have to know where to look.

No, IIRC it involves machining and basically re-engineering the inside of the housing for the different center section..
