I'd say upgrade... you wouldn't believe the extra power you can get from these turbo's... I had an 87 that was completley bone stock, and then my 89 which only had 3in exhaust and the 60-1... and man it was a complete night and day difference at the same boost... that 60-1 really throws you back...
I didn't get any smoke on decel... but I did at an idle... I'm about to pull my valve covers off and clean out all the oil that I'm sure is in there... and then maybe check my valvestem seals... hopefully it's not my turbo or anything more serious... oh... also I get a little bit of smoke coming...
I forgot to mention I don't have the 550's, the maft or the avc-r on yet... but I do have the 3in and 60-1... so your sayin clean all the oil off the top of the fuel rail and everywhere and see if it comes back quick? is there a possibility that it could be my turbo? I noticed a date printed on...
ok I took my accordian hose off and checked my turbo and no shaft play... but I did take off my lower IC pipe and oil poured out of there... also I noticed that something was sprayin out of my bov(oil)... and then today I noticed that there was an oil/gas mixture on top of my fuel rail... I'm...
when I took off my 3000 pipe I noticed some oil in my intake and then when I took off my lower IC pipe I noticed quite a bit of oil... and also just tonight I started blowing out some smoke... I couldn't tell if it was blue or white... but it definately wasn't black... anyone have any...
thats what I figured that it would give me less leverage... so you say it could be my syncros... c\ I have the tranny completely apart... how easy and how much $$$ is it to fix those problems...
I know... I think I mentioned in my first post that they were different... and I already have the 87 in there... and the 89 did have progressive steering... I'm just going to leave it out...
I have those lines in correctly... actually I meant the ones from the pump itself... but thank you...
Ok so I was in an accident about a month ago and I just got around to swapping my steering rack out of my 87 turbo into my 89 turbo... and while there is a little bit of a difference I believe I've got it all hooked up right... accept the power steering lines... the main ones that go into the...
Anyone ever changed one out... I never have... but I've just about come to the conclusion that the problem with my front end is the steering gear... b\c I get a little bit of a jerk when turning the wheels left or right... and then another jerk when straightening out... after the initial jerk it...
I've already replaced both upper control arms... but not lower... would I really need to do the lowers... I mean it would be no problem b\c I have a whole parts car (87 turbo)... I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to just go ahead and do all of that... it wouldn't hurt... I'd also be interested...
yeah I have pics... I'll post them up later today... but I was hit on the passenger side... right at the front fender... thats where most of the damage was... I was thinkin it was in my steering system also... at first I thought it was suspension... oh yeah... the other day I lifted up the front...
Ok I had only had my car back from it's rebuild for about 600 miles, and one day I was leaving work to go get my taxes done... and some girl that wasn't paying attention pulled out in front of me in her volvo and totaled out my car... of course I couldn't let it go to waste... so I bought it...
the owner before me did the wheels... and the molding I have is what you see in the sig... I was involved in an accident with a f**king volvo that totaled out both cars... but there was only like 600 miles on a brand new drivetrain... but I'm giong to go ahead and find the rest of the molding...
