it was all original when i got it. i just figured that the wastegate spring had weakened like ive heard about.

my car pushed 4 lbs when i got it. i put in one set of washers which bumped it up to 5, then my mods have made it increase to 7/8. should i just shim the wastegate more? havent dont the boost leak test yet. just had another question. thanks.

I have an 88 turbo with intake, bic ddp, test pipe, and 3 in cat back. i boost 7/8 pounds usually, but ive been hearing that with my mods it should be higher. is this correct? and how can i test for boost leaks? ive done some searching, but i figured just asking experienced 7mgte owners on here...
