Um... no.
1. You can add EGR to a FFIM, it's just a pain.
2. Wasn't aware you could see the inside of your intake manifold. Better not look inside the rest of the engine...
3. Yes, and the Japanese 7M runs a different ECU.
Anything is possible.
Honestly though, rear shimmy sounds like a bushing issue. If the tire changes toe from bumps it could make the rear end do very weird things.
Not all codes turn the CEL on. It's worth a shot to see if it has any saved codes.
Agreed on the tech being a bonehead (hell, I always have to show them how to get the ignition probe on my car)
I also have to chuckle at the "GROSS POLLUTER" label. Only in Kali...
Same except for the W58 (NA tranny) has another bushing inside where the bottom cup goes. It wears out and makes the shifter sloppy. Someone on the forums sells a bronze bushing to replace it.
But as you're commenting on the R154 (turbo tranny), the tranny is notchy, they're just that way.
Fronts on mine were VERY loose, and the backs are a royal pain to do because of the high torque (hard to put your weight into something when you're on your back )
