Mine's not in the greatest shape either, when I had my engine out I tried to take it off and the first bolt I tried snapped off so I just put it on hold until I could find a new one.
You sound more like an attention hungry nuisance than a political voice.
Earplugs to turn it up higher? why not just listen a reasonable level. Why make others with their own radio's listen to what you want? How would you like it if whenever you were going below 20mph someone ran next to you...
I got these a few years ago when they were "the new best thing" on my old DD. I had the same problem with the drivers side, wouldn't touch the very middle, which is really the only part of the windshield that mattered, We sell the Rain-X's and Michelins at my work and they come back broken much...
Just a few weeks ago "Is that your car out there? Is that like... a Toyota Mustang?"
I went into Advance Auto last month to get oil for my truck (15qts so I buy in gallons)
the ricer who works there, has a Matrix 6spd, STi hood scoop, body kit, 19's thousands of neons...
Comes up trying...
I hope to have my car up at NEDW late this summer. Want to find a car trailer to make things easier, a Tow truck ride 100 miles home would be expensive.
In my post I was referring to RA, not warpage when I said deck surfaces. I agree both need to be refinished for a MHG but I brought my old 100k mile head to my machinist and he said it was straight and would do fine with just a cleaning and stock HG but I wanted to go with a stopper.
A stock replacement will seal better if your deck surface is not smooth enough for a MHG. MHG's can be cleaned and re-used if it will still seal, and all holes/jackets are in good condition. Cometic MHG's are also more leniant on sealing and the surfaces don't have to be machined to such tight...
People have tried it, It's not worth it. If you're looking for exact numbers on gains or losses, just go do it yourself. The time and money could be spent much better elsewhere but to each his own.
For the same reason many people used NA cams. They are known to make small gains in midrange torque to get the fat NA's moving better, but tend to choke the GTE's in the upper end.
I use and abuse mine everyday. Only one I broke was my 18mm, holding a nut while using an IR Ti impact on the bolt on the other end haha. It just started freespinning. I've broken way more craftsman 1/2" ratchets than I hve ratcheting wrenches.
With my new downpipe I plan to add a 3" cat. Just gotta cut and weld the flanges. Tired of the hassle of getting an inspection sticker, and the smell when I first start it up.
Same. My boost is around 10psi now and the wastegate opens in about 2 seconds of WOT. I'd much rather just a deep exhaust sound but the rushing of the DDP is all I can hear in the cab sometimes.
After owning a DDP/Test pipe/3" catback for a few years now the only change I'd make is the recirc. DDP and most will agree with me.
I've also tried driving my car with open stock downpipe(very loud)
with DDP and dump before the muffler(very very loud)
and with no catback(Open after...
