yeah, i wanna see it turn over one way or another. just don't wanna screw anything up thats unfixable cheap.

what should i do about the oil? should i change the oil before cranking? how can i tell if its not just oil? should i ask the owner to try and turn it over?

update: checked the mr2's oil today and it was past the full mark on the dipstick. seemed a little bit thinner than normal 10w30, but didnt smell like gas. if the oil was mixed with water, it would be muddy or separated, right?

afaik (and what ive seen on How It's Made) its mostly like fiberglass. a sheet is laid on and resin is brushed on over that, then it goes into an autoclave (sparco used to have some info on theirs) or gets the air vacuumed out of it to let it cure bubble-free. pretty cool process.

thanks, depending on the price range i'm seriously looking into it. will the itbs offer a pretty good increase in power/response? i think this is what your calculations are telling you, but again not sure. how's it compare to a stock gte?
