i know, but for the price i'm ok with it. i'll just get some spacers and call it a day.
plus, i'm not after stance. i want the car to be functional and look good. right now there's 17x9 +24 and 17x10.5 +27, and they stick out too far for my tastes.
nice looking car there.
i just noticed the wheels have a different offset than the seller posted. the fronts are 18x8 +40, and the rears are 18x9.5 +35. i guess they will be in farther than i thought. this might actually work out better.
if anyone has any thoughts, just let me know.
just got some tsw's. 18x8 +20 and 18x9.5 +20. i was thinking 235-40's in front and 265 or 275 35's out back. any chance these will fit without rolling and pulling the fenders? i'm sure the front will be ok, it's the back i'm worried about.
also, the car is not lowered right now, but it will...
i ordered braided lines from driftmotion the other day. unfortunately they won't be here till next week. i just ordered front calipers from rockauto today. i'm probably going to pick up a brake booster from a member here to throw on as well.
i also ordered a front wheel bearing. i think the one...
i'm not sure. the antilock light comes on after driving a short distance. it is off again when i get back into the car. i drove it home today and it started pulling to the right on the brakes. i can smell "brakes" on the right side also. i'm going to start with the right caliper.
believe me, i have no problem replacing everything that needs to go. i'm just puzzled at what the car is doing. i just find it odd that BOTH front wheels would "lock up", and then act fine. i've never seen 2 calipers seize at the same time, let alone free up that quickly.
i ordered braided brake lines and a power steering line from driftmotion. :)
i also looked at the pile of parts i need to install.
to be honest, i thought about selling the car too. :(
so, here's a fun update. tuesday at work i tried bleeding the system with the pressure bleeder at work..... i got a little fluid out of the rears, and good flow out of the right front, but NOTHING out of the left front. when you step on the pedal all the wheels stop, but i still have a weird...
sorry, i should clarify. i know what to look for as far as checking the brakes, i just wanted to know if there was some "supra specific" reason that both sides would do it at the same time.
for the past month or so, i would get an intermittent "hard" brake pedal. i attributed this to the very low idle that my car sometimes has.
fast forward to today.... i went on a fairly long drive to pick up some car parts and my car had a slight pull to the right and a front end shimmy around...
sounds about right. most techs can't diagnose anything without a scanner, and your car is obd1. search the site for info or head to a toyota dealer for help.
i'm picking up a set of FIC injectors for the supra today. yay.
they are #146-550, and are 550's. i just had the flow tested and they were all 630. is this too much to use with a lex afm and afc2?
thanks............
