hey crisp, just a quick question.... i have the same fcd that you posted the writeup on. i was under the impression that they were adjustable, but both of ours do not have any means to adjust them. is this "safe" to install? i understand the dangers of using these, but will i be ok if i have the...
i'm so glad i found this. i just picked up a fcd and a good electronic boost controller. i know a lot of people say not to use the fcd, but in my case it will be temporary. i hit fuel cut occasionally below 10psi, and i'd like to get at least one good track run out of her before i tear it all...
kind of a related question.... i finally installed new plugs, but i went with autolite 3923's. i see that everyone is using 3922's. should i switch to those?
i'm sure this has been asked before, but i couldn't find it.
will a faulty tps cause the car to hit fuel cut?
from what i understand, the car measures the amount of air flow and the throttle position against preset limits. my tps is set at .5 volts closed, but won't go past 3.xx volts wide...
the top was on. it just seems to be leaking a bit more since the hit. as far as the seat goes, i think it's from my legs pushing against the pedals when i was hit. that would explain the pain i've been having in my knees.
since you mentioned the tps voltage, here's one for you. i had an issue with an intermittent high/surging idle. i set my tps at idle to .5 volts, and the problem seems to be gone. the strange part is, it only reads 3.xx volts wide open. i am nowhere near 5 volts. should i swap out the tps?

they will clearly be able to see that it's in excellent condition for a 1990 toyota. i really don't think it got...
well that sucks. the hit wasn't that hard. the car is a 90 turbo with the white package. the only physical damage that shows, is the spider webbing on the rear bumper.
also, the car is from florida, and rust free. looks like i'll have to buy it back if they total it. :(
i'm not sure if i posted about this earlier, but i got rear ended in my supra a few weeks ago. i know there's bumper damage, but i had a question for you guys....
since the accident, the targa top leaks at the l/f corner and the power drivers seat has about an inch of back and forth play.
can...
ok guys, one more question..... when i connect the power wire to a 12v constant the controller stays lit up all the time. is this going to drain my battery?
if i connect it to a switched ignition wire, it will lose the memory every time i shut the car off.
i ran all the wiring etc. for my greddy turbo timer and profec b. trying to decide where to mount them while i wait for a the 4mm filter to show up. :(
the good news is, i gave my engine builder/tuner a deposit on my megasquirt stuff. :)
when i had the leak it was at or under 5lbs. that issue is gone with the new piping on there. the fuel cut has been around 10 ever since i've owned the car. i'm hoping it's just a shitty boost controller. the car is great in first gear, but as soon as i shift into second it hesitates, then goes.
hey all. i'm finally replacing the shitty boost controller that came with the car for a greddy profec b spec ii. :)
i'm sure i'll figure out how to adjust it at some point, lol, but i do have a question...
i'm missing the small filter that goes on the vacuum line to the main unit. will i be ok...
