Couldn't just spining the back of the outshaft have the same result as turning the driveshaft? Driveshaft would be in the way like crazy... but I could pop it into.. gear.. I had it in neutral... Why would having it in gear help? I would just like to know, Curious.

Ok, got the the clutch kit installed on the engine and i Couldn't get the DAMN THING TO slide into the clutch... I couldn't get the damn tranny on the engine, Biggest Pain in the ASS EVER! I tried twisting it back and fourth and pushing and it wouldn't go in... I used the pilot Alignment tool...

I'de be surprised to get better than 20mpg because the engine makes about 200 ft. lb. of torque at 4800rpm so it's making over 100lb ft. of torque at 3-3500rpm at 70mph on the 7mge and w58 with a 4.30 LSD. My honda gets over 30mpg in town but only has like 45 ft lb of torque at 3500rpm because...

what are u talking about? Grease method didn't work because of the low quality of the pilot bearing the seal broke. Usually on a High quality bearing the seal doesn't break and the method works great. Otherwise wet toilet did the trick, perfectly.

would copper ultra rtv sealant high temp work to seal it up?

well i aligned it up i guess and the shifter goes into Neutral "Left right" motion, but doesn't go into gear.

well the grease method would be the easiest but the dirtiest. It doesn't requires hardly any force at all but the force that u put on the bolt that u hit with a hammer. You put grease in the hole and fill it up then put a bolt that fits the hole snug, then bang on the bolt... slowly but surely...

No, it didn't. the damn grease seal on the bearing Popped off. So now i have to pull the Mother Fu**er out of there. Anyone know of a GOOD Small Pilot bearing puller?

Where can i get a pilot bearing puller that's small enough to fit into the 7m pilot bearing hole? Anyone out there have the seal pop off the bearing while using the "grease method" to pop the bearing out?

well, I didn't know u could replace the bushing only. I can get the whole Shift Link with a new bushing for $41 through Elmhurst Toyota. But I'm going to also get the Marlin Crawler bushings for the seat and Shifter ball. I hope i can get my car back together sometime even know i just bought...
