    1JZ>1.5JZ<2JZ Discussion

I remember that. I would have loved to see that scenario play out. :) Colin: After reading through the thread, I would adjust my original stance and now say a "hybrid engine" section would be best. We can debate engine nomenclature all we want but anything that isn't a factory...

The complete engine is the block and head. I would call it a stroker 1J. Whatever you feel is best to call it is up to you, though. Nobody has to call it 1.5JZ either. It's just called such so it's obvious it's not a normal 2.5L 1J.

That guy will only anger me with his "1JZ and 2JZ crank are the same" bullshit.

In what way? I know there is a 1J stroker kit. It's a 2.8L I think. edit: that was for gotboosted. Ian: Opinion much respected. Agree to disagree is the phrase that comes to mind, though. :)

    Fan Shroud needed?

Upgraded radiator isn't an excuse not to use the fan shroud.

    1JZ>1.5JZ<2JZ Discussion

First of all, please show me where I said I was upset. 2nd, what an emissions tech would say is rather irrelevent to me as far as this conversation is concerned. What I would hypothetically tell the smog tech is equally irrelevent. 3rd, animals are irrelevent as well... Show me a hybrid...

I'm a 1J guy everyday and even I think that would not be the best thing to do. Might as well leave the GE in there and turbo it. or put a 2J head on the GE block and go from there.

Well, as to not contradict myself, I would say yes. I'm glad you said that though along with Poodles bringing up Aaron's destroked 7M. There are all kinds of GTE engines out there that could potentionally end up on the site. There's 1JZ, 1JZ with 2JZ block, 2JZ with 1JZ block, 2JZ, 7M, 7M...

    1JZ>1.5JZ<2JZ Discussion

It IS a stroked 1JZ. The 2J block itself is needed because of the deck height, not because it is inherently better for some reason. The displacement difference is in the crank. Hypothetically, if I took a 3L crank and stuffed it in a 1J block, by your definition it would be a 1J...

    1JZ>1.5JZ<2JZ Discussion

EXACTLY!! How can you say that but be against my suggestion to keep the 3L 1J in the 1J section? Why is it different for a 1J? Why does it matter if it's 2.5L or stroked 3L or not? It's still a 1JZ. A stroked 1JZ. That's all. Who cares if I have a 2.5L or 3L block under my 1JZ? It's still...

    "Perfect" mkiv... had to share

I took have seen very few MKIVs I thought looked better without the spoiler. Almost every case was a black car, that was dropped with some nice aftermarket wheels. The RMM wing... That's exactly why I call it "repeat my mods" wing. Someone said that last night in the SF chat room and I...

    "Perfect" mkiv... had to share

I like it, it's just on certain cars I feel it would look better without. Black cars, lowered with aftermarket wheels really look great wingless. Stock cars all look better with the spoiler. Widebody cars and just about any car with a full body kit doesn't look right with the stock spoiler...

Zangetsu's Bankai: '92 Supra Twin Turbo

Yeah. I can't give up at this point. Even if I was going to throw in the towel, it would be better to finish the car anyway and sell it as a complete 500+hp capable package instead of a big part out. I'm a lazy bastard and wouldn't have time or patience for that. :) It's so close I can...

    Whats your job?!?!???

+1 to that. When I lived on campus at University of the Pacific, I did work study in my dorm. I was the guy that sits at the desk and checks out equipment and unlocks rooms for people who locked them selves out. That was about it. 90% of the time, I was just studying, browsing the net...
