if you can, just put a cheapie speaker to the head unit. i mean remove it,but still leave it functional, and test the speakers from the back of the unit. simple way to tell if it is the head unit or the wiring
MAN,it seems like everyone has an opinion on this,
and here's mine.
1. Use a good engine degreaser on the block, but don't spray anything on or near the spark plug wires or holes. If you do,YOU WILL spend the next few hours getting the water out,and it requires some dis-assembly of the throttle...
"And just for the record, PSI does NOT equal flow. I can block your oil passage and you'll get full PSI on your gauge and your engine will blow up from lack of oil."
SO THERE!!
yes the supra is a pig,its heavy in all the wrong places. but i'd look into to which parts need to be replaced first like the shocks and springs. if they are are origional from 1986,they need to go. bushings might be ate up as well.
definately get a turbo car, then do all the general "must do" maintenance items. replace anything cracked, broken,or with question about funcionality. buying hop-ups and performance parts won't do much good if it is going to make something else fail down the road.
