Yes, just make damn sure the new tee line is no where near any hot sources that can/will melt it in half. If that happens, you're in a world of hurt if you don't catch it soon.

Is that a 85.7mm bore gasket? If so, ouch...

Shouldn't, just don't go too far away, like inside your car or something. Try to keep it as close as possible the the wastegate, like mounted on the passenger side strut tower....
