so after i checked the turbo, to make sure it was spinning good and not making any noise. i go for a test drive and now the noise is louder and sound more like a SUPPER CHARGER! so i have had this 57trim turbo that was done by performance technice for 6 months now. why did it fail so quickly...

the bov is recirculated with no surge to speak of. i am doing the smoke machine on monday.

ummm i understand that it possible to have a boost leak....but from the turbo itself! that would be kinda bad, and hard to find. No smoke machine is going to help with that...or will it:1zhelp: and there is some shaft play that i did not notice before, mabey I'm leaking boost through the turbo.

just wanted to add something that i forgot. When i get into boost and let off the gas quickly, the engine seems to stumble or feel like i hit something like a rabit. thanks

^^^^it spins smooth and free. Is it possible that the turbo is leaking boost? i am going to check the bov o ring right now. edit: ok bov oring is set, and checked the turbo again to see if it scrapes. it seem brand new like the day i got it.

i found a guy with a smoke machine, and from what i hear he is cool about letting you get in there with him and help. always a good way to learn something as well. i have all had brand new hardpipes and a total of five coupler. my bov has a oring at the flange, i will check that as well...

i went with the synapse syncronic and it works great! if you need any help with it just hit me up.

when i make full boost @18psi on the 57 trim ct26 it almost sounds like some one making a bollon scream, like when you stretch the mouth piece. should i be worried? there"s no smoke, not loosing oil, no shaft play at all. the turbo has about 6,000 miles on it. thanks for any help

thanks alot, got to test the water"s on th freeway with a realy nice right hand drive skyline R34. my xtd cheap clutch is no longer holding the power. So i had to race him in 5th gear for the most part keeping the runs from 80 to 130. i beat him every time or would be behind him and letting off...

the heat shiels would not fit onto to new down pipe. and i polished the pipes to help with the heat but i think i should still do the tape, and thanks for the advice!

i think it is the ecu to, or one of the things it uses to get a signal from. let us know what happends with the ecu. that would be great if that was it, i realy do have a gut feeling that is it.

my vac at idle is 15 and on down shifts its at 22. i found out that if i tapped on my brakes a bunch my af's went realy high and idle even worse. so i unhooked the brake booster and plugged the vaccume line but the car had the same idle problem. so mabey there is still i leake some were...
