Yeah i need cooleeze hard pipes :,( but yeah man you got it right for the oil diag. CATCH CAN FTW. Just added a homemade on myself and I'm inthe process of cleaning intercooler and pipes.
i don't think so but keep them fingers crossed. you could always inspect the veins in the compressor wheel. Remover the accordion hose and look for mangled broken fins.
well i believe while driving cause you will not build boost without a load. and you are driving an auto right. so you will have to lift off the gas to vent.
no no no. like i told you. Don't get confused. The wastegate is responsible for the amount boost your engine make, for the most part (other variables matter too). Loosen the bolt until you have it venting and go another 1/2 turn out. That should be good for you.
I also think 5-6 psi shouldn't...
you should be able to use the bolt on the top for adjustments. I believe yours is righty tighty lefty loosy . screw it in for tighten (hi boost) and out for loosen (lower boost). for the most part. don't get it confused with a wastegate, completely different.
Is that a broom stick? anyways That doesn't sound healthy for your car. Since you aren't boosting high I think you could be experiencing a boost leak at your bov. maybe you can adjust the screw to better hold the pressure until it has to vent. There is a spring inside the bov loosening the screw...
