if not a blown headgasket...then what?

Radiator cap or any other way to lose pressure in the system will cause localised boiling and rapid overflow and overheat.

Anyone on here ever own/drive the NSX?

Had a guy on my street where I used to live with one. Raced it a couple times and wasn't impressed. Boosting one is a bit of a pain as there really isn't any room to put the necessary parts cleanly. They do handle well though and they do look damn good. Just think it's a lot of money for a...

V-mounted MKIII Third times the charm.

V-mount also requires the aerodynamics for it (hence my stout hood comment).

fixing 89 shift knobs and dropping on coilovers

I HAVE seen people carefully remove the clear part on the top of the shifter, remove any stitches and rewrap it in leather. It's not easy though. Might see if an upholstery shop can do it for you. On the second question, I'd say mine is a bit more than an inch lower in front, but I really...

How to tell if pistons are good or bad

Crank is going to be eaten, rods are fubar, pistons beat on the valves, head got beaten by piston, and a hell of a lot of metal going through the engine. MAYBE the other rods/pistons are salvagable, as well as the valves from the other cylinders. Honestly, I don't think it's going to be...

    Lost Keys

Doubtful, as a few years ago most of them were purged from the database. If they still have the records, it would be on a dealer by dealer basis more than likely.

So, Mazda is killing the Rotary again...

It's the government again, really. Rotaries have never been good on gas, and in the US, the RX8's oil spec is for a far thinner oil than the rest of the world so they can get every MPG out of it. Shame...

Buying a car from someone who bought it and never registered it...

Look up your laws. In Texas you don't have to register a vehicle that isn't driven or parked on the streets, and you're not punished for registering it later.

    Stock o2 with welded bung?

You can pick up a 3 wire O2 from any parts store. You'll have to wire it in though. Wideband should be farther away as it's more expensive and will last longer if it's farther away.
