yeah. there was a little smoking at idle. it wasn't oil or coolant. the car runs great while driving. it sometimes idles a little low, like it's too rich or something.
i think it has to to with the bov being vented and having the lex/550 combo.
i did a couple good pulls with my new motor. i still have some oil burning and now there's some fuel?, burning at idle.
i'll be doing a leakdown and compression test tomorrow. i hope it's the turbo, so i have an excuse to get a new one. :)
one of the reasons i was thinking it was the turbo is that i just put a different motor in. it seems to be exactly the same as before. i do have some light oil buildup at the top of the valve covers where the two small hoses are. that's why i thought about putting in a catch can.
ok guys, here's another rookie question.....
my car is starting to smoke pretty bad on decel. everyone i've talked to says it's the turbo seals.... i DO have a spare turbo that has no shaft play, so i guess i could swap it out. my question is.... will installing a catch can after the valve...

here's the link to the thread. honestly, i don't know much about the turbo's at the supra store. i know they, alberty and driftmotion offer upgraded turbos.
i'm in no way saying anything bad about...
i was under the impression that 450 wheel is the limit for an upgraded ct26. i'll have to check out the link, i'm planning on getting something like that.
check out albert's thread. he does wonderful things with the stock turbos. i really want one of his, i just have to figure out which one.
yeah. it wasn't so bad until i installed the flywheel. :(
it just does it all the time now. hopefully i'll have all the megasquirt stuff to install in the spring.
i ordered some ngk 5690 iridium plugs, and polished some more stuff under the hood.
i also decided that having a blow off valve AND a lightened flywheel WILL make your car stall out when coming to a stop. time for megasquirt.
exactly what i was wondering. my tuner said to NOT get iridiums or platinums. even when i was in the dsm game, people just used coppers.
has anyone used the brisk plugs that were mentioned a few posts back?
