sweet. what tranny and how well does it sit? anything too difficult on installation or special needed? and is that a double brake master cyl? w/ or w/o a brake booster i cant tell from the pics

make sure it actually comes with the transmission... they sell the transmissions alone for over 3k used and the price of a mkiv in japan to scrap is not cheap (12k+ compared to a soarer's 1k+ and a mkiii's 2k+ or so) always buy from a seller where you know exactly what you are getting and...

theres no mod, your alternator connects to your battery one way or the other.

if its the harddrive, can you just throw another one in?

really? i found there was a lot of good info on here. especially after youve searched. usually people toss me a pm or two around if they have questions about the 1 or 2j swap

i cut mine to fit it held fine (only prob was off the turbo) used t bolts routed the TB straight down and around the bumper/fender area to the IC and routed it just like the 7m CT26

i wish it was that easy but you will run into fitment issues and your new best friend will be a grinder... i gave up on the grinder step

then its a good indication its not your alternator that is the problem. check wiring, grounds, and have your battery load tested.

thats what all the co springs guys were saying, or at least you are getting it very very soon! (lame huh?)

so it drops during driving? have your alt checked it takes 10 minutes to remove and stores do it for free, thats one thing down. other than that doublecheck the wiring make sure they are good connections (especially for the thick alternator one)

im not sure if they have lexus where you are but look for any toyota with a 2jz engine.. there are a lot of them out there. i paid 180$ for a new toyota starter i think and i believe its called the starter clutch http://www.turbosupras.com/pdfs/JZA80%20TSRM/ST.pdf

if it cranks there is spark and fuel and no cracks on the coil it should run. the sc300 2jzgte i did took about a week of patient cranking once a day or so and my car took about a 1minute of cranking

it should look the same actually unless you are talking about the part that says A/T instead of M/T
