Don't use a chisel!! You don't want to disturb the paint on the steel below the asphalt material. Peel up as much as you can and then use a petroleum solvent (I used varsol with excellent results) to remove the rest. You end up using quite a bit of varsol and likely killing quite a few brain...
Does anybody know where to buy replacement open barrel terminals for our wiring harness? As far as I can tell, the connectors on our harness are manufactured by sumitomo...I've found their website, but it seems to cater more towards the automotive OEM than the DIY guy.
here is the catalogue...
I don't think the sound deadening under the car is as heavy or shitty as you think it is...but I digress. http://www.edesignaudio.com/index.php?cPath=1_24
oil squirters can easily be replaced without removing the crank or oil pump. All you need to do is remove the oil pan. It is definitely easier if the engine is upside-down.
sorry, I should have been more clear, I was talking about the ground in the following picture: (right beside "28897")...I do know that the one beside 28800C goes to the sheet metal near the battery...it is pretty obvious.
I just wanted to make sure that I am connecting this ground to the correct place, however, I have a feeling that it is currently attached to the incorrect bolt. Right now, I have the ground attached to one of the bolts which secures the fuel feed line, but the way the wiring is angled, I...
After hitting the wipers a few times before making lane changes or turning corners, you get the hang of it. I suppose it could be difficult constantly changing between RHD and LHD though...When I got back to driving a LHD vehicle after being overseas, I had to re-learn which was the wiper and...
A guy I knew in australia drove a saab, which actually had the turn signals on the left side of the wheel! And it was a standard!! That blew my mind...imagine a car over here having the signal stalk on the right side of the wheel....how the hell would you shift and signal at the same time?
I personally would not exceed the speed rating. The ratings are generally based upon how much the tire will heat up at speed, and it is unlikely that there is a "safety factor" per se. There are so many variables regarding the conditions the tire could be used in, it is likely that the rating...
Any exhaust system designed by one of the "big" manufacturers will likely incorporate a significant amount of R&D (eg. muffler/resonator/piping choice) to reduce or eliminate drone...unfortunately, on the one-off systems fabbed up by the local exhaust shop or similar, this is not practical.
It...
I'll correct myself...The TEWD shows that the wiring goes through the B3 plug, which also contains the wiring for the rear ABS sensor (in transmission), meaning the PPS plug is on the main engine wiring harness.
In other words, if you've got your engine and wiring harness out of the car, you...
i think that plug might be similar to another in the vicinity...check to make sure you didn't plug it in to something else...like the ABS sensor.
edit: nevermind, different plug.
