Head Gasket Question (in the middle of changing)

There is nothing in the TSRM on how to check for a reusable HG since the stock ones are composite and need to be replaced every time. Basically what you are looking for is a straight, non warped MHG with the rings around each cylinder and water jacket straight and not bent, smashed, warped, etc...

Soon to be mine, 86.5 NA /w Pics!

The extra weight of the turbo car is negligable compared to the power difference between the two. I'd have a 2-300 lb heavier anyday if it would spank it's NA counterpart, which this car doesn't dissapoint in that area ;).

    HKS SSQV

Simple: Cap off the BPV port on the 3000 pipe, installing SSQV with recir. fitting, and plumb the new hose from the BOV back to the accordian hose where the stock BPV was plumbed at, don't forget to hook up the BOV's vacuum hose.

Head Gasket Question (in the middle of changing)

If it's a real MHG, then both head and block will need to be flat and as smooth as possible. If there isn't any warpage on the gasket or any other visible damage, then it could be reusable. You would want to clean it off thuroughly and on all layers, then reapply a copper sealant when...

Silly V-6 mustang, bad boy, BAD!

I hope he's going to let me do the break in :evil2:. He's scared to drive his cars real hard, the reason he spun a bearing was because he overreved it with spinning tires.

Silly V-6 mustang, bad boy, BAD!

I've got a friend with a '98 cobra that thought he could drift. He spun a bear and bought a freaking crate engine instead of rebuilding! We'll be putting that sucker in this weekend :evil2:. I'm going to have him break it in the hard way (flogging the bitch on dino oil for the first 20 miles).

Silly V-6 mustang, bad boy, BAD!

I was picking up my GF yesterday to go to my parents Memorial day cookout when we see this 94-98 model purple 'stand go by with one pipe comming out of the back shaped just like a GT's pipe (missing the other side). I knew right then and there what it was. I wasn't going to embarrass him, but he...

Ive Been Formally Challenged To Race This Weekend

AWD and twins would be a VR4, the SL is completely different. 3000GT SL= FWD NA. 3000GT VR4= AWD TT. If it's a stealth that you're talking about, then IDK, it could be different, but in the quote you are discussing it clearly states 3000GT. I'm not sure what the nomenclatures (sp?) of the...

    main studs help
