i want to do as much as i can while i'm here.
being as i want to upgrade to arp, could i just pull out the existing and put in new without disturbing the headgasket?
newbie questions,i know.
yup,is coming from back there? if it is,one of your cv joints on the axle shaft is failing. when you get time juck up the rear end off the grond and manhandle the wheel and rock it back and forth to see if there is ant clattering or movement.
if not,it might be a tie rod up front.
any suggestionsas to what else i should do while i'm here?
retourque the head? the previous owner had some new valve seats put in before i bought it 2 years ago,and i see what might be arp bolts in there.is there any way to tell if they are? do they have stamps in them? how many are there...
have them check your cats, primary and secondary,to see if the honeycomb material is still in good condition as wel las for the rest of the system.
just be sure to get at least a 3 inch diameter pipe going all the way back when you get your new system.maybe even mandrel bent if there is one shop...
there is no way you'll get a motor with less than 40k on it,unless you get documentation.
what you do depends on your budget. if you just want it back on the road, get a jdm motor in it.then rebuld the origional motor taking your time.
it looks fairly simple. just a matter of cutting out the hatch pieces and welding in support and body pieces.not one of those, oops, what have i done type of things. your going to have to be very dedicated to finishing the job!
can anyone tell me of the spray pattern for these? i intend on using a set for an intercooler sprayer, and i need to know if these will "mist" rather than shoot a stream like the windshield nozzles do.
