the 7m block is pretty rigid. just improve on the oil pump and filtering and such and you should be fine. i'm just referring to the stock pressure based flow of the oil to the cooler,vs the up-to date replacement that uses oil TEMP.
Start at the motor and work your way through.Get it so it runs good,then get the tranny in order.Get it to go and then work on stopping...lol crappy advice,huh? sorry..
