Power band is not a problem with our cars for the most part considering how long the gears are in the mkiii ...... 3500-7000rpm is actually a pretty good power band. When revving 5500+ and then shifting you will never fall out of the power band like some of the smaller engines. 1st gear from a...
Umm the setup is pretty much the same as any piggy back. Any tuner that can read and follow direction should be able to tune it.
What do you consider laggy?
I am personally running the SAFC. I already had the boost controller and lex AFM so for me it was easier and cheaper to buy a used SAFC-II to accomplish my power goals. I do believe the safc and lex afm have supported 600rwhp.
Dont take my numbers for fact search around first .....
Ditch the VPC get the MAFT-Pro
Its an all in one
1) VPC
2) Boost controller
3) SAFC
If you are looking for 450rwhp the upgraded CT26 is not the way to go. Get a true t4 there are some pretty cheap bolt ons. Search around hit up MDC, bigaarron, JT and Boostlee
Piggy backs are good for what they are designed for in my eyes, which is for BPU cars with generally light upgrades like injectors and a bigger turbo, but are still stock internally and are aiming below 450rwhp.
Standalones are for people aiming higher than 500rwhp mark where they need to be...
i m running 14-15psi
Also biatch show me where 13:1 or another a/f ration besides my post ........ :) no offense tell me the post number or quote it sir
You guys are funny where did 13:1 come from I dont see any post where some suggest to run 13:1 or any other ratio. The discussion was about changing fuel cut, lowering the egts, and A/F ratio by simply porting the exhuast housing but anyways..... I am still rich being in the 11's.
Personally...
Most are tuned 100rwhp below what a few are pushing. How much more head room do you need? Well fuck it ..... Its a choice people will always do what they want.
Lets stop high jacking the thread….
MrWOT if your theory is correct. Then if I increase the piping of my exhaust will that in...
I agree about the duty cycle but most people with upgraded ct26 are tuned in the upper 300rwhp and stock 440’s have been proven time and time again to support over 400rwhp ..... No real reason to get injectors that are meant for the 450-500rwhp range.
So swapping to 550’s some may...
The ct26 is a good turbo and easy to find matter a fact i have 3 ..... 2 that are sitting with barely any shaft play and I am sure there a people on this forum with like 10. You can always buy an upgraded one.
I am with my twin bro-ham Duane if its not broke dont fix it
Duane number 2 :)
Que? I am not understanding what you mean by "work on the turbine housing". Are u talking about porting the wastegate?
Maybe MDC, Boostlee, JT, or Bigaaron will speak on this
What are getting at? Thats the purpose of getting tuned. People have proven over and over .... and over that the stock 440's can support over 400rwhp. Again what is your point?
I will pushing the limits on my stock flow test 440's when I get an upgraded ct.
My E.G.T.’s umm I dunno I have a gauge but I haven’t plugged it up yet but there is no real need ..... I had my car tuned when I bought my SAFC-II I think 10.5-11.5 but my new wideband tells me 10.5-11.5 :)
So i guess my tune and my wide band are in great synchronization. E.G.T.'s...
Umm if he can get his car tuned or has a wideband I disagree..... I have been a bit risky in the past and I have pushed the stock ct26 to 17psi on the stock fuel system and I was pretty rich even then. Currently I am running 14psi daily and I am no where close to being lean.
