You said your check engine light was on too right?
Check that for codes.
Now, when it dies, does it slowly sputter and die (fuel) or does it just immediatly die/just stops running (electric)?
Reason I ask is cuz I had similar problems. Start right up and idle right at about 650 or so...

My next suggestion would have been the PVC system. My IC pipes have a faint residue of oil on them only after 225 miles. But my turbo seals were blown so that could have contributed to it. I still plan on getting an oil catch can though.
Actually I agree with you about the pic, cuz she's not all that compared to what else is out there.
That was one pic where the car looks better...IMO...
The timing belt is a PITA just because fo the time.
You might be able to get it out without taking the radiator out, but you have to take so much other stuff off, might as well do it and get it out of the way.
