Update
A little update:
-Relocated the heater valve to the trash
-Test fitted the Bomex bumper, then had to modify it, since the inside of it was hitting the intercooler. I'm still debating on how to mount it. Probably DZUS fasteners.
-Working on replacing the headgasket at the moment...
One's smaller, and more square, than the other. Measure how far the mounting points are apart (the bolt holes) and then you should be able to figure it out.
Wear a seatbelt, or racing harness, maybe?
...of course, you'd still have to worry about it coming at you in the event of a collision, instead of the other way around.
Yeah, I'm no expert at it. I mean, I took a metal working class when I was in middle school, and do a lot of welding/fabrication (exhausts and such), but as far as something like a frame is concerned, just knowing that it could be damaged would worry me...
...I'm weird like that.
P.S. I absolutely love your car. What are the offsets on the wheels, by the way? I'm looking into purchasing new wheels soon and like the fitment of them.
That's exactly what I was thinking. It's not the temperature that it melts at that matters...
...once the molecules spread out, it loses most of the strength.
Bingo. Fiberglass isn't flexible at all. Of course, it's a dash. It doesn't really need to flex a ton...except maybe when your top's off (meaning the car, pervert).
:-)
I ended up with a t04e once via stupid bidding on ebay...
...didn't expect to win it, basically. The only thing I can say is that it was MUCH smaller than my gt4088.
t3 housing, I believe.
A quick google search brought up that it was on ford f-series trucks between like 87 and 93, though...
It only loses coolant when it hits wastegate, and it's in the intake runners, not the cylinders. During regular driving it's fine.
Or, well, I haven't checked, at least.
The bottom of the oil cap is fine, and there's no oil in the coolant, or coolant in the oil.
I've dealt with bhg before on...
Alright, cool. I was definately going to use the self-ejecting kind, but I'm still a little confused on the sizes, and how to mount them, since they need something behind them, as opposed to latches that I could just rivet to the fender and bumper and be done with it.
Specifically, how to you...
I'm looking into quick-release ways to mount my front bumper, since it's in and out of the garage a lot, which involves taking the bumper off (the car's kinda low, as you can imagine) and really like the design of these...
...I've searched google, and everywhere else, for that matter, and...
Well, the coolant doesn't run through the throttle body anymore...
...and I don't have an isc.
I'll talk to my motor guy and maybe he can recall, but I BELIEVE that it was in pretty much every cylinder. 3 or 4 of them at minimum.
