You think so?
I only used rtv for the return that goes to side of block
No silicone was used on the turbo feed/drain gasket at the turbo
When I removed the new turbo to replace gasket there was a good distance between silicone and the actually tube for the drain
Thanks for the help so far...
oh yea i forgot you had a 51 code lol
you know whats funny
when i got my supra CEL was on...checked and got 12, 34,41,51 and 52
funniest part about all of that...car ran so good i drove it home 100 miles lol
i still havent messed with my tps lol
someday i shall adjusting(per tsrm) or...
i have code 51 set from time to time but the CEL never comes on
when i 1st acquired my supra about 7 months ago i had code 52 as well
found somebody had did the knock sensor rewire but the wires broke off both plugs
another knock sensor rewire and 52 has never came back lol
did you do the...
well i bought a new turbo gasket kit off the internet before installing turbo
came with everything except return tube gasket for the block and banjo bolt crush washers
so i installed turbo on a sunday and had to work on monday(it is my dd)
so i had to impravise and used black rtv(not a...
wow!!
mine looked like this but not as bad
i soldered all of mine back together and havent had problems
but it does look like some of the wires at the connector are breaking as well
IMO i would get new pins and add some new wire
id say cut about 3-4 inches of wire off and add new
i seen your wanted add for a field harness
good thing you didnt get the 1 off of me
its for a yellow plug ecu
well after i get my turbo back and a new radiator :: angry ::
then i will hopefully be installing my vpc/safc setup
ok so i bought a rebuilt and balanced ct26 (turbo was never ran on car after rebuild until i installed)
it has a 46trim wheel and 12 degree exhaust
the person i bought it from seems to be pretty reputable with turbos(he did work himself)
before installed i checked shaft play(very little...
was there still a bunch of oil in the down pipe?
i would think after a few minutes of idling all the oil would burn out of the downpipe though
do you have a vaccum/boost gauge?(not the stock gauge)
if you have a aftermarket 1...whats your vaccum at idle?
im kinda thinking you got a...
what a/c parts do you have good sir?
also my supra is up and running again
well atleast til i install my vpc/safc lol
on a side not my new 46trim ct26 with 12 degree exhaust clip is on its way out
who would of thought 50 miles on a rebuilt and balanced turbo would make it go bad lol
honestly i wouldnt drive it until i know what my oil pressure was
i dont think you want to be stranded on the side of the road with a blown motor lol
your oil pressure is evedently ok now since it still runs
but what happens if the oil pump goes out
its more of a piece of mind gauge lol
a little surface rust is no biggy
a simple hone job like typhoon said will clean it up
my 452 stroker mopar motor i had honed 4 years ago
i spray wd40 on it once a year and it hasnt rusted
walls look the same as when i first had it done

i would either diagnos your issue(which would be pointless since the gauge lies to you anyways)
or just invest 60 dollars in a electric autometer gauge with sending unit
you will have to shell out a few bucks for a npt tap
