its not the pistons and rods that will prevent you from running more boost at this point, you will hit fuel cut before the pistons and rods will go on ya. fuel cut is around 12 or 13 psi, so you might wanna upgrade your fuel system first before you will even be able to turn the boost up to the...
thats probably the best deal that ive heard of when it comes to buying mk3 turbo supras, and with 90k miles and drivable....thats unbelievable, im jealous:3d_frown:
first supra was an 89 n/a 5spd and i saved it from the junk yard for 700 bucks, it was my daily driver for about 4 or 5 months and then i joined the marine corps, a year or so later, i found another one that was identical to my first one...same color, same year, same tranny, and still n/a...
im so sorry to hear to hear about your loss:3d_frown: , thats one of my biggest fears is that once i finish my build and finally get my supra done, that some stupid ass like that will hit me. and im no idiot, i know that my car isnt worth as much to the insurance company as it is me and im sure...
I think that the mk3 is the perfect sleeper! Mine was originally a n/a before I didn the swap, so it has no decals or turbo emblems at all, plus not too many people know what kind of car it is. Everyone knows what a mk4 supra is along with camaros, mustangs, civics(thanks to fast and furious)...
im from kentucky and when i lived there i used to go to the clay city tracks, its not all that big and theres not that many imports, but whenever you get the opportunity to blow the doors off some camaros and mustangs you cant pass that up.
i dont really considerate being disrespectful by not being discrete about his business, he obviously doesnt respect you by treating you the way he has. im sorry, this is only my opinion, but the same thing just happened to me and i guess im just taking this kinda personal, and i hate mechanics...
why do you immediately criticize this guys thread because there are no pics yet. its not even his car yet, and the thread is about him letting everyone know that he almost owns a supra...not "do you like my new paint job?":3d_frown:
Even though i dont live in Canada, i think that it is time for you to reveal this mechanic's name and where he works, there are plenty of people on this forum who live in canada and im sure that they dont want to make the same mistake that you did by going to this so called "mechanic". The more...
I havent been on SM for about a couple of weeks, and it looks like i missed a lot! Ive really got to track down all of his threads and take a look at them apparently. I read his one on "how much hp...." and Ive gotten the idea that this guy just starts threads and then never posts in...
well, in case you dont remember, i just got my supra back from the shop after a year of them doing the n/a-turbo swap. I took it to a different shop tonight for a complete rebuild. I will post a build thread when i get some pics, but for now i will let you guys in on what im doing. Forged...
are the pistons in the jdm motors different than the ones in the 7mgte here in the states? im getting a rebuild kit for my 7m and wasnt sure if the pistons would work with my jdm. thanks guys
