My w58 had similar issues but my tranny was full of gear oil.
The release bearing was real loose and the metal clip that held it on was really loose. I took it all apart and modified the clip so that it would hold the release bearing tighter against the clutch fork.
No more rattling.
Actually the mature thing would be to just slow down a bit.
Most cars can do 100 mph. I clocked my 91 ford explorer 4wd 4 door doing 110 mph once, buried the speedometer, but a friend with said he was doing about 110 according to his speedometer.
I know 150 is alot faster than 100, but...
I would think that the speed of the exhaust gasses would slow down because they have a larger exit tube.

What exactly does this do and if the spring and/or valve are worn, would if affect oil pressure?

Does the unit go dead or just sound cut out?
Sometimes a big bump will make the cd player shift and it takes a second or two to come back.

I guess what makes this hard is that he was only 6 years old and he managed to tangle himself up so bad, that we beleive he strangled himself...
