Just an update and to add info to the thread.
Replaced my rear struts on Sunday afternoon. The first one took about an hour because I really didn't know what I was doing (first time ever, working with struts). The second one took about 20 minutes.

The first thing I did when I inherited my 86.5 was swap a 7MGTE in. :evil2:
Personally, I think it would be easier to do a 7MGTE swap then adding a turbo on an NA.
In addition, is the new resivoir big enough to hold enough fluid for the demands of the PS system? You could be running it dry. When I finished my rebuild, I did not put enough in and I heard this sucking noise. The steering wheel was very jerky and hard to move, but it didn't move on its own.
