Today I made a connection for the blow of valve in the lathe and welded that to
one of the pressure pipes. Hopefully it's in the right position :)

I believe it's easier than that. Hot air takes more space than cold air. So if the hot air from the turbo demands a certain diameter for efficient flow and pressure, once it has passed the IC and have been cooled x amount of degrees, it needs a smaller diameter of piping to remain at the same...

I continued with the pressure pipes today and the main parts are done.
This is just the pipes between the TB and IC.

-:|Update - 2011-05-09|:-
Today I started welding my aluminum pressure pipes.
I had to grind of the surface on both the outside and inside to be able to get a good weld.

Today I painted my exhaust and I replaced a broken rubber thing (don't remember the
english word for it) on the left rear caliper.

Today I added a WG pipe and a WBO2 bung to my exhaust. Then I finished welding everything.
I also did a little porting.

My new exhaust in all it's glory :)
-:|Update - 2011-05-03|:-
Even more work has been done to the exhaust.
I've added a flex pipe and some hangers so the exhaust does no longer need any support.

Today I continued with the exhaust and it's spotwelded from front til back.
Whats needed now is a WG pipe, flex pipe, cat and hangers.

And under my supra it looks like this
Albert: Are those a direct fit? Are they supported by the center cover? How are you mounting them?
Enraged: Have you thought about how to mount them? Or are you going to use them with IS300 coil boots and use them as COP?

I need to skip some updates and jump to what happened today :)
Fun stuff are happening with the engine! I'm keeping the 7M-GTE and making a build of it.
I have already been to the engine builder with the head and block. The head was vacuumed tested and the exh...
I have now orderd the following:
Arias 83,5mm pistons
Eagle rods
ARP head and main studs
New banjos for the oil squirters
New dowelpins to use between the head and block
The headgasket was broken mostly on cyl. 6 and a little on cyl. 1.
Something strange was that the rear timing cover was not at the same height as the block :S Sure, a regular HG is a little forgiving, but this is just crazy. The difference is just a little below 1mm.
Hello limequat,
I'm waiting for the leather samples. I think I'm going to settle for two-tone seats. If I'm going to change more of the interior, that will have to wait till I'm done with the engine (almost full re-build and upgrade) and the body (re-paint (another red) some side skirts and a...
Who sells already coated wiseco pistons?
I forgot to say that my mechanic will be using a torque plate.
Does the rear timing cover need to be on together with the timing belt tensioner when the block is being bored and honed?
Like I wrote in my list, I will be buying studs for the head...
