One of the things I have to take care of to get through inspection is the bad steering
tie rods which was actually just loose nuts.
But the steering rack is down now so I'll do the best of it.
Some grinding and paint made the rack look a lot better...

I continued with the diff parts today.
The second outputshaft got an electrolyte treatment and then I painted some more.

I started with the diff today.
To get rid of the rust on the axle stubs I used electrolyte and on the housing I had to
go the hard way and use wire brush drill bits.
When the parts were clean enough I painted them with epoxi primer.

Isnt that a batch fire type of coil?
I would like coils that are smart (no need for ignitors) and are either COP or CNP.
When it comes to heat I think a CNP setup would be better since it can be placed under the intake manifold for example.
Does the 2JZ-GTE coils require ignitors? Do they fit...
As soon as I'm done with the car I have in my garage, I will tow my supra there and start tearing the engine apart. I hope it's not bad enough to stop me from doing a rebuild (with extras).
I'm sure about cyl. 6. Re-did it to be extra sure. A fluid in the cylinder will cause higher pressure.
No white smoke while driving, but I got a large white puff when I started the engine the last time.
What else would a leakdown test tell me? I have not done that.
Is there another way for...
Hello,
it started with misfire. I tried changing the coil pack and while I did this I double checked the timing because I wanted to be on the safe side. The things is that I'm an idiot and forgot to change back from fixed timing to table timing (running MS3 ecu) and my laptop battery was...
Hello,
I'm having trouble with misfire above 100kPa.
I have a thread on msextra.com but they are not really helping me.
http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=131&t=41815
Could you have a look and maybe even help?
Thanks.
I havent read much about how it works :-/
But today I changed the max. charge duration from 1.0ms to 0.1ms and that made a huge improvement :D
Now the problem is focused around 2400-3000rpm.
Before this change I could get it to missfire at all rpms, just had to put some more load on the engine.
I have corrected the injector list.
I'm using the built in VR conditioners. Then one on the main board is used for primary trigger and the one on the MS3X board is used for the sync.
All the VR pots are turned fully anti-clockwise. I have tested the noise filters without any luck.

Hello,
I'm having some problem with noise. I get sync loss all over except for idle and at a steady rpm below 3000rpm.
I'm using the stock CPS with shielded wires running from the MS3 box to the CPS plug.
I have:
MS3+MS3X

Three Bosch 124 modules are controlling the stock...
E85 is aggressive against a lot of materials. Rubber hoses, plastic lines or copper lines won't do. Even aluminum is sensitive to ethanol.
What you want is stainless steel lines and teflon hoses.
E85 contains about 30% less energy than regular gasoline, but it has a higher octane rating...

I mostly worked with my HF box today and I managed to do some tests with it.
My first cap. broke but I managed to get the high frequency needed to weld
aluminum.
I also added an extra ground to the multiplex box since I read somewhere
that it's needed :)...

I continued with the oil system today.
I started making the oil lines. I'm using Earl's swivel seals and Russel stainless steel braided
lines.
