holy shit I never thought of that. now that I think of it the car has warmed up a little more now but I thought that was because the water/coolant ratio shifted due to a leak I kept refilling.
standing. I always thought the purpose of the shroud was just for safety reasons so I just left it...
..bad idea?
I haven't noticed any difference. The air doesn't seem to be shootin in any other direction with it off.
Figured there'd be less restriction catching the air and moving it towards the engine.
take apart the plastic trim around the steering column. above the key cylinder there should be a little button you can press with a needle or something, which should allow you to pull out the cylinder.
See what you can do from there.
how would the box move if you take the top side of the box (the strut bar) off?
not saying anybody is right or wrong but from my experience, when I took the front strut bar off, I did notice increased body roll.
maybe its cause the bar I have is just one solid non adjustable piece?
Yes I saw the price tag on the Illuminas, which is why I asked if there was a cheaper alternative to them lol, and still keep the TEMS system.
Where's a good place to get Blisteins at?
Gelboy, does that mean you're leaving TEMS behind when your Illuminas give in?
Was wondering if there are any other TEMS compatible struts besides the Illuminas and where is a good place to get a good price?
Also I know a lot of you guys have Eibach springs. How smooth is the ride quality compared to stock springs?
Thanks in advance

I want to seal everything up myself at his shop while the engine is out of the car, but I doubt he'll let me due to insurance issues.
If I do take the car, I might just have him replace the rear main seal while its out, and I'll do the rest when I take it home.
How much of a bitch is it to...
I thought mine was leaking too, till I replaced the pump and gasket.
then I found out it was the line that goes to the WP, behind the timing plate, underneath the exhaust manifold, next to the 90 degree hose.
I highly doubt he did anything of the sort. If they are sacked will a simple valve job fix it? Or will it need new springs?
one thing he said was "the old engine was making a lot of wierd noises and got another one" but I dont believe him. I think the current engine that I've seen on the...
So the mechanic that fixed the no spark issue on my current supra is willing to sell me his supra that he has just sittin at his shop. It's a '90 white NA 5-speed. He's had the engine out since at least last july. At first he wanted 2 grand for it but now he wants only $1k.
So my question is...
check your brake calipers? recently the one on the front passenger side on my car became pretty loose by itself and was makin all kinds of noises even on smooth road.
it's only 1 more nut and the link slides right off.
also makes putting a strut back in a hell of a lot easier because you dont have to force anything down as you try to align it and push it back in...standing on one leg.
