When I worked at Checker auto parts, they sold lugnuts that were not the decorative type, they have holes all the way through. HTH, Ryan

Check out my new DD / Supra tow vehicle!!

Thats sweet, a fellow snowboarder. I took mine to sunrise ski area the first week I had it to play in the snow. The 4R has a torsen locking center diff and a bunch of other crazy 4wheeling features. It also tows 7K. But probably not as easily as that big beast of a V8 youve got. :naughty:

    Crank pulley keeps coming loose

Wow that is an awesome idea. What did you use for the round flange? I have never had a problem with the prybar in the flywheel technique but that takes two people. I may just build something like that so I dont have to find a helper when I go to put the new pulley on. Thanks for the...

    Crank pulley keeps coming loose

And thats whats crazy to me is that I know I got 200ft/lb on that thing as I am used to torquing 500ft/lb lugnuts all day at work. So i dont know how its coming loose. I have heard that that is a "yeild to torque" bolt if I remember correctly. What exactly does that mean? I am guessing it...

    Crank pulley keeps coming loose

For the second time in a two years, my crank pulley has come loose, destroyed the woodruff key, and either streched the pulley inner surface or worn down the crank. The first time it came loose I replaced the pulley and torqued the bolt down as hard as possible with someone locking the...

pics of your 7ms engine bay

Thanks a lot for the comments. The turbo is a standard garrett T04B .69 A/R hotside. It is mated to the stock manifold using the MAXX autoworks adapter. Im using a turbonetics 35mm wastegate and a blow through MAF setup. For the power steering, I am just using standard oil compatible...

OBX or pacesetter header question O2

Hi, I had the Pacesetter header on my 87NA years ago. You are correct, the o2 sensor is relocated waaay down right before the second cat. In my opinion this is too far away for proper operation. I am not sure about your car, but my 87's o2 sensor was non heated, (only 1 wire. I think...

    Need a quick favor

What the crap are these scratches

One time me and four other friends went out to the club, and once our designated driver got tired and wanted to leave, we go out and find some jackass with a cherokee completely parked us in. He was tired and pissed and decided to try the door. It opened, the alarm went off and he jumped in...

Megasquirt II stand alone reprogramable ECU.

A guy I work with bought a Megasquirt ECU for his kit car project. I had a look at the unit and the first thing that I noticed is that the quality is just not there. It may be a lot cheaper than a haltec or a AEM, but it looks like some guys garage radio shack experiment to me. I cant say...

    Throttle body and ISC heating

I have had my throttle body and ISC valve bypassed for two years now, no problems, no high idle either. I dont think the heat or water circulation has anything to do with the idle speed. Correct me if I am wrong. Ryan

Supra vs Deer: we both lost

That is just crazy. Looks to me like it hit more than just legs. See what kind of check youre going to get from the insurance people first. Then, if its significant, get the parts from a salvage yard or from people here who are parting out their cars. Then, with the extra cash you...

    wideband error with open wastegate?

I think you may be right, it may just be "off the chart." I just cant imagine it being that freakin rich. They're only 550's, and I have the MAFT setup for stock 440's just to get it to lean out a bit. And you would think there would be some black smoke out the tailpipe, but who knows. Ill...

    wideband error with open wastegate?

I have installed a wideband o2 sensor in the downpipe right after the turbo. I have a custom turbo setup with an external wastegate opening to the atmosphere. My question is this: How much is it going to throw off the readings when that extra exhaust is dumped? Will it still read...
