once the area is cleaned and painted, seam sealer? then replace cover is what I did... and some new plugs...
for the wheel wells look for areas of poor/compromised adhesion of the rubber coating, stonechips = perforation = moisture build up
Installed ebay Y-pipe... what a pain in the ass and 1/2 done as I need the 1JZ turbo to manifold crush donuts gaskets
^had to have the flanges resurfaced @ a machine shop as they were not even close to flat
^spent an hour to clearence some space for a nut on the rear turbo hotside outlet, big...
don't forget to remove the endcaps from the rocker panels - front and rear.... to avoid surprises later - these hold debris and moisture against the body..
I would also recommend taking a very close look at the seam in the rear wheel wells as they were poorly sealed from the factory...
^really, because when I look at it the bottoms are sticking out past the widest part of the body, by a good inch,
so if they were square/perpendicular they would be sticking out at least 1/2 inch.. ie; not perfect...
I never understood the fan boy mad camber appeal... especially on nice tires...

in the ex-gf's caravan I could get away with passing patrolmen on the highway, in a shiney(stock body no stickers) 240 I get pulled...
pretty sure the last yaris I lookrd at did not have a hydro P/S pump on the motor...
belt through the hood vent -- spectacular -- in camera video? other than the loss in P/S an nice warning device --
IE: "your waterpump ins't running and I thought I'd let you know by showing you the belt"...
