You would think so. Maybe try calling or emailing the company to see if the pressure plate is the same. I'd probably go with the Spec Stage 2+, which on paper still has a ton of room for overhead for a 7M build.
This feels like the Price is Right.
I forget what you're running for a fuel pump, but it's more than a 255, I'll say least 470whp. What kind of dyno is it?
Even though the VQ is no doubt lighter than the 7M or 1JZ, does the OP have any idea how much a TT setup, 3 row intercooler, and piping will end up weighing? Seems to me that taking a motor that isn't meant to be in the A70 chassis then adding a serious amount of weight defeats the entire purpose.
Just go ahead and take your car to a muffler shop and have both cats removed if that's what you want to do. It should be less restrictive and increase the volumetric efficiency, might shave a few pounds off your weight too.
IIRC Raptor Racing use to build N/A exhaust, but quit because of lack...
Stay away from tiger japanese unless you enjoy getting screwed over. I'd also consider getting a full swap non-vvti (complete, trans, harness, ecu) then sell your exsisting 154 locally once you've got the swap running. The rear sump, flywheel, and bellhousing will be worth the extra money...
There was a decent sticky under the mkIII section on supraforums with a list of sogi mods. Honestly, I don't think you'll recieve any significant improvement without a GTE swap.
I'd probably second the action clutch stage 2.
Even though I probably wouldn't buy it again, the spec stage 3+ in my car has been taking a fair amount of abuse with zero problems. It also has no chatter since its still a full disc.
Even if you get a 60-1 .70AR you're still going to want a set of cams to see 500whp on pump. If you look at any dyno sheets for 1JZ it's going to start falling off before redline. You'll also want a decent set of injectors and a new FPR, 550cc USDM may be a decent choice, but you'll be past...
A single Walbro 255 will only get you safely to 400-450whp. If you want a build that can achieve at least 450 you should look at a second pump either in tank or inline. Better choice would probably be a Aeromotive 340lph.
I'd much rather see this topic pop up monthly or every once in awhile opposed to the usual topics that flood SM daily, "OMG why is my oil milky and the car is overheating, how much will it cost to get a 1JZ swap?"
I'm personally glad someone made another weight reduction thread. There isn't too many of the topics floating around and the existing ones are usually filled with the same garbage "sell your supra, buy a 240 or RX7."
At some point, I'd be interested in seeing how much I can save total by...

My car was at Carma Performance in Nashville on a Dyno Dynamics with the temp roughly at 80 degrees. The Baseline pull made 343whp on the stock ECU w/o any corrections. On the last run the car...
Even though power fell off a little early, I'd say you have really nice useable powerband.
My fuel economy hasn't been that horrible since I've gone single, seems comparable to my Subaru, maybe around 23mpg mixed driving conditions.
What a waste of a perfectly good black on tan pre 89, I bet this car is somewhere in a scrapyard now. Did anyone else notice the lame fake-ass rims on the Supra?
