Maybe I can chime in, the kit does include a harness that looks super nice. Then of course the brackets.
So, I'm guessing that you don't really have to splice or alter your harness if that's not your thing. Feel free to correct if I'm wrong Albert. I sold my standalone off, so I never really...
They raised the price on the Nason line as well? How much did Dupont increase their price?
When I get some decent flash times this spring I want to respray a SC300. Black of course.
I'm jealous of the Texans and their mild winters.
Isn't black always going to be dirt cheap? Even though I'm not crazy about black, a gallon from what I've seen is less than half of what it cost for Super Red.
A gallon of 202 Nason last I checked was $90 vs $200 for 3E5.
The other upside is that it's easy to lay down and match when you get...
Disagree if you fucking want. I already agreed the numbers were going to be off already because of region. That still doesn't call for being rude. There's no point in getting hung up on numbers, when they can vary a shitload. OP might even be able to go cheaper than what you're talking...
Your ECU probably won't be able to compensate entirely as it tries to pull fuel, so you'll run rich. Shouldn't be a huge problem, but you'll want to have a AFC at least to pull fuel.
5-6k is probably on the high side, but I'm mainly talking about if you're starting from fuck-n-scratch. Someone could easily find ways to cut cost or just buy everything second hand. I didn't mention anything about a 2JZ-GE NA-T, because he didn't bring it up, but that's another good choice...
I don't mind that this has all been covered numerous times on both SM and SF. This thread is useless though, unless the OP chimes in with more information and details.
I like te72's suggestion. You should go for a nice wide set of staggered summer tires, provided you're not using that same set in the winter. If you're on a budget maybe go with some gently used XXRs, sway bars, and a new entry level set of coilovers. If you're on a tight budget maybe grab...
1JZ swap in a Cressida would be nice, especially if the car was clean overall.
Real talk though, for the price together a decent 1JZ-GTE or 7M-GTE you might be better served by selling your car and purchasing another one. If you're thrifty enough, you maybe able to convert it over to a...
It doesn't matter what the price point is. I'm not making nearly enough at the wheels to concern myself with using other types of coils. I just needed a OEM replacement for my 20 year old coil set-up.
Almost forgot, I was eyeing a set of used RPF1s and the owner listed them as 5x114 instead of 5x114.3. I've never seen the RPF1 offered in that bolt pattern, so I'm assuming it's because he isn't sure himself.
Not that there is much difference between the two regardless. I just wanted to...
Has anyone else considered using the STi 2008-2011 BBS or Enkei wheels? The only thing that scares me off is the offsets, I wonder how the fitment will be on a MKIII.
2008-2011 STi BBS
Size: 18x8.5"
Offset: +55
Bolt pattern: 5x114.3
Wheel Weight: 20.5 lbs (forged)
