"Oh, and street tires at the track are as usless as pockets in underwear"
No kidding. Anyone trying to run 12's on street tires is just asking for frustration. It can happen, but its not easy or ever will be consistant, especially on poorly prepped tracks. Just not worth spending $20 and...
My spec2 was fine for everyday driving (with a very light pedal effort) at 400+rwhp, but it burned at the drag srip on a missed shift. The HPF bronse(ACT PP) I have now has taken a beatingg at the track and just keeps on going. I will probably keep this clutch set-up for a while.
BTW, the HPF...
I may have missed it, but how much did your boost drop off from 29psi?
Also, I would reccomend using some good race gas next time at the dyno, then later on dyno with the methenal. Race gas would be a more fool proof way of running high boost at least until you get things sorted out.
Are you using race gas? I wouldn't try running that kind of boost without C16 in the tank. I wouldn't go back to the dyno until you really figured out what's going on. Its obvious something is not right in the high RPM's (right where a T70 is going to start making lots of power. Start with the...
Yes, the steroids helped his vision, hand-eye cordination, and helped give him a perfect swing..
I guess the steroids didn't help out all those other baseball players that aren't doing well (or breaking records).
"My haunches compress... a distinct thrust forward that seems HARDER than the 2-3 transition... and a HARD RUSH ALL THE WAY to fifth... where I keep it pinned till I'm sweeping thru 140... still under firm acceleration... and glance back at the 20 plus lengths I have quickly opened up on the...
"i hate hearing people talk about lag so much. we have 3.0L and 2.5L motors in our cars and some 2.0, there's gonna be lag with any upgraded t4 turbo or sometimes little t3. only cars u don't really see lag on are those freakin 5.7L V8 etc."
The ability to interpret a dyno graph helps us...
Wow, you got some major problems their. Looking at how laggy that dyno plot is, I would say you have a massive boost or vacuum leak. Which is probably why you are hitting fuel cut so early. Not sure, but something is wrong, and I dought it's the piggybacks. Good luck figuring it out.
Hey Duane, I remember when you ran the 11.0 when you had the IHI RHC7 turbo. Do you rememer how much power you were making at the time, and what kind of headwork, or cams you had at the time? Thanks.. Hopefully I can pull a time like you..
"What ya puttin in ? rods ? pistons ..Please tell me its something crazy that will push the envelope..Jason"
I have a rebuilt 7M with forged internals and a rebuilt ported head with oversize valves and cams. Unfortunantly I am staying with a smallish turbo (probably a GT35) instead of a 67DBB...
Just saw this. Hope this isn't a re-post.
