if you have 2 86.5's and you want to bring one that has the running 1jz to the other then its engine harness should already be modified. unless its the difference between left and right hand drive then it needs to be extended but otherwise it should be the same.

you just need the engine harness which unplugs near the ECU. and various body points in the engine bay. usually the engine harnesses are modified because its way easier than changing the body wiring
it really depends on how they wired it in.. hopefully they wired in the plugs from the old 7mge...
