show me a bent 7m rod and ill show you a real unicorn lol
i have yet to see anyone say the bent a stock 7m rod...but i havent searched this a whole lot
bubbles either indicates a BHG(even though you did a block test) or you have a coolant leak somewhere under pressur
and when engine cools down its sucking air in????
i once encountered a problem like this
customers 87 vette kept overheating when he was running it hard
found the radiator fins where plugged up with leaves, dirt etc...
after cleaning the fins out...he's been driving it ever since with no issues(about 2 yrs now)
a good trick i use on the...
yea that pretty much somes it up
dont be to worried if theres oil in the accordian hose and around the turbo compessor wheel
a little oil is ok but a lot means theres a problem
since you havent owned anything turbo then i must tell you the main reason for turbo failure is not changing oil...
get a propane torch
heat up the nut(the pb blaster may catch fire...but it wont be a huge fire :))
then try to remove it
are you removing the o2 housing from the turbo or are you underneath the vehicle trying to unbolt the downpipe from the o2 housing?
since it has sat for a long time i would check or replace the following:
Belts...if theyre cracked or rotted replace them
Fluids...IDC if he said it has all new replace them
Filters...replace them
Brakes...remove and inspect replace as needed
Tires...if tread is low or dry rot/cracking...
drill new hole, install new eyelets and piece of wire
heres just a few things to be careful with off the top of my head:
the exhaust studs have a tendency to loosen and come out
the turbo oil drain/feed tube is a pain in the A$$...do not bend the tubing
any hoses that feel soft...replace them...
better hope previous owner didnt put some lucas oil stabilizer in to cover up a engine noise
if you want to make a good thread provide lots of pics and what tools(correct size) are needed
