It was really tight to bolt on.
jtran8- yeah, randy @ BIC said that some people need to port their wastegate to avoid overboosting with the DDP, but Im going back to Iraq in February and was hoping to do that when I come back.
I have done that. Even without the entire boost controller setup installed, it would still boost this high, just not so fast. I wasnt hitting fuel cut, because in the warmer weather it would only boost ~14 psi. Thats why I think that I may just have to tune it around this fuel cut like...
No I dont have a wideband. I have a narrowband, but I dont go tune off of it, its not worth it IMO. When I went to the dyno, I had to remove quite a bit of fuel beyond 5000 rpm. And since the weather is much colder, I figure that I would have to add some of that fuel back to run more boost...
Yeah, I would appreciate that if you could. I really want to take this setup to the track on Sunday and see what kind of time I can lay down, so if you get the opportunity and feel like helping then that would be great.
As for the AVCR, yeah, a lot of people said that they didnt like it...
I got BIC's DDP, Test pipe, and the 3.5 thunder catback. It changed the boost from 7 psi to what it is now.
As for bypassing the controller, when I turn the setting to OFF on the AVCR that is what that does....correct? When I did that it boosted as if I never hooked up the AVCR, but it...
Is there anyway you could PM me the settings you would use? The only thing adjusted is the boost and duty cycle. My start cycle all read +/- 0. Is that a problem?
Also can you explain the record and playback feature? How do I use that. If there is anything you can do to help, I would...
Im using the stock toyota wastegate, the reason for the boost that high is because of the BIC exhaust. It went from 7 psi to 14-16 psi after I installed the exhaust.
I am positive that I havent hooked it up wrong. The install was way too easy for that and I have even rechecked it.
Is...
Dont understand your question here.
edit: I think I see what youre confused about. When I say off, I mean under the settings menu it is off. (Not controlling boost) There are three settings......A, B, or OFF. When it was off it was still boosting, just not with the AVCR. I was already...
Alright, after adjusting the duty cycle to 20% it allowed me to boost 1.1 bar in 3rd gear all the way til redline, but when I shifted to 4th it boosted to 1.2 bar and hit fuel cut at 5500 rpms.
Im kinda stuck on what to do from here. It is colder but I still kinda figured that I could fix...
Alright, I gotta mail off a package to Slow66, so I will see if that makes any difference adjusting the duty cycle. I will report back the results.
Thanks dbsupra90!
I will try to lower the duty cycle and see what happens.
To be honest with you, not even sure where I set either the learn gear mode or manual mode. If I post my settings up will that help? Im sorry but Im new to the EBC and the shop I used to go to for advice closed down so Im stuck on...
