Interesting. I noticed my AVCR and factory tach was always pretty close at low engine speeds, but I could never compare at full throttle. My peak hold RPM did hit 6600 rpm's one time, but I also remember it hitting much lower than that several other times when I bounced it off the limiter.. Wish...
My 92 with the stock ECU would hit the rev limiter right around 6200-6300 rpm's. I have hit 6600 rpms peak (shown on my AVCR), but I think the ECU just didn't catch it in time.
With the AEM, I'm now reving to 7300, which is a night and day difference. I can now use the 62mm turbo much better...
Great job as usual.. I know you have already mentioned it, but going with a bigger A/R on the turbine housing would be a simple solution to free up some HP. Can't wait to see what it does in the spring.
There is nothing wrong with putting Mustang rims on a supra IMO. Just put different center caps.
And there is no comparison lookswise between Cobra rims and MK4 Supra rims. Mk4 rims are about as boring looking as it gets.
FYI, I believe there is a dispute between wheel makers and Ford going on right now, so Mustang replica rims are no longer available. I tried to order some rims just like Queenskid has, and they no longer sell them. Tried two different places..
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Their is nothing wrong with using a FCD as long as your Air/fuel is tuned. For years I used the FCD to compliment my lexus AFM/RC550's and AFC. With only the LEX AFM and AFC, I could not turn the boost higher than 19psi before hitting fuel cut. With the FCD wired in, I could hit 29psi. I had a...
Let me add that this was one of the best racing events that I have ever been to. I have been to many events at MIR over the years including all of the worldcups, but this was by far the best. The amount of fast cars was incredible. And the Supra turnout was the best Iv'e ever seen. If anyone is...
That's too bad. Because the car went down the track perfectly smooth with no traction, or lag problems at all. By comparison, most of the MK4's before Shawn were having all kinds of hickups coming off the line not enabling them to make a clean pass.
:stickpoke Um excuse me UpgradedSupra... But there have been been plenty of people saying that the R154 will not hold up no matter what upgrades you put in it and no matter what platform it's in.. So the thread I posted was showing several people having success with the R154 at high horsepower...
Here is a recent thread on Supraforums about the R154. One guy is making over 1Krwhp and it's holding fine. http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=564010
Just watched Shawn run a 9.5 at 144mph at the World Cup event at MIR on Saturday. This was only a qualifying pass on just boost. He said he was going to spray Nitrous next run. I'm suprised he has not posted anything here yet.
See you all tomorrow..Looks like it's going to be a great event..
I will either be in my red supra or my blue vette(if I'm too scared to drive the supra).
It feels laggy because the SP67GT is a laggy turbo compared to a CT-26 upgrade.
The SP67 is capable of making 700rwhp. How much power do you plan on making? You should worry about sizing your turbo properly instead of you intercooler.. That will make a much bigger difference in lag.
If you...
