Sometimes you have to search UK ebaymotors as they are more popular over their for JDM and other imported parts. For awhile they were making the clear ones like this one...
I had a bad CPS where one of the wires inside the unit shorted out through the heatshrink on that wire and touched the CPS housing which caused a no start condition. How are the condition of the wires inside your CPS unit?
Re: Rebuilding Engine Harness: Tips or Tricks?? Sequential Fuel Injection on ECU Mast
Thanks Zazzn for the tips, there is some good information on that site I will use.
Are your grounds good coming from the engine wiring harness going under the intake manifold and also the main grounds that go on the block and cylinder head?
Hello All,
I am going to be rebuilding my engine harness on my 87 Supra with the 7mGTE motor very soon. I am almost done breaking in the fully rebuilt motor and currently everything is as it would come OEM. I bought every connector I can get my hands on from yota connectors and I have a ECU...
I installed a Gates one from RockAuto and it is molded exactly like OEM with the proper bends in it like a snake. What I also used on my old supra that you can find in most auto parts stores is a one piece long hose with a single 90 degree bend at the end that you will have to cut it to fit. It...
Yes it does bounce while cranking. Also if you turn the key to the on position (not started) and look at the RPM gauge fast enough, you will see it jump a very small bit also.
No adjustments need to be made other than lining up the top strut mounts and rotating them to the right spot. On both 87 Supra's when I had these installed, the OEM top strut mounts were spripped where the strut shaft lines up to the strut mount as it was just spinning when trying to remove the...
The fronts have a tab for the abs sensor wiring bracket so just make sure those are in the right spot. Here is a old pic of the driver front from 07 when I put mine in and I never had those numbers on mine. Those numbers may have been measurements from a prior adjustable coilover spring.
My 1st remain A1Cardone rack I bought this summer had a slow leak and I sent it in for a replacement and now its been about a month now on the 2nd replacement with no problems. The other issue seemed to be the mounting tab on the passenger side for the steering damper bolt seemed to be slightly...
It's very nice and worth it imo. I really like the OEM shift knob even compared to aftermarket and a few of today's manual cars I have driven which most felt like a cheap lightweight piece of plastic.
The Headlight Relay, Defogger relay, Turbo Indicator plug are not used in my ECUMasters standalone either. The headlight relay and defogger relay adjusts the idle slightly with the stock ECU when turned on.
I was looking for a new gray shift knob earlier this year for my 87 also but I did not find anything. The only two options was a rewrap or buy a new one. I bought a new OEM one and just so you are aware, the shift logo is not chrome like the original as I believe this part number was from a...
Hello everyone,
I sold my OEM r154 driveshaft and I was looking if someone can take a measurement of the front yolk of the OEM r154 driveshaft and can tell me the size of the outer diameter? I am on my second rear transmission seal and its a OEM replacement and it has a small leak just as the...
I bought it used with about 3k miles on it from a member on SF but it is in new condition. When was the last time you talked to SP? I always check in on their site and it says that they still have 4 available versions of this turbo...
